We Serve

About Us

We have been serving the Karori Community for over 50 years! The Karori Lions Club was formed in 1969 is a community-focused group of volunteers dedicated to making a positive difference in Karori and the wider Wellington area. As part of the global Lions movement, we are driven by a simple mission: to serve others and strengthen our community through practical support, fundraising, and hands-on projects.

Our members are involved in a wide range of initiatives, from supporting local families , to organising community events, fundraising activities, and contributing to local charities. Check out our 2025 impact statement here.

We also take pride in projects that bring people together—whether it’s running community stalls, collecting money and food for other charities, supporting youth initiatives, or providing assistance where it’s needed most.

At Karori Lions, we believe in the power of collective effort. By working together, we create meaningful impact, build lasting connections, and help make our community a better place for everyone. Join us, become a member today!
