We Serve

Giving the Gift of Sight

At Karori Lions, we believe something as simple as a pair of glasses can change a life. Through our recycled glasses project, we collect donated eyewear from our community and give them a second purpose — restoring sight to those who need it most.

Each pair is carefully cleaned, tested, and prepared before being sent to the Pacific island communities, where access to vision care can be limited. What might no longer be needed here becomes a life-changing resource elsewhere — helping people read, work, learn, and reconnect with the world around them. This project is not only about restoring vision, but also about reducing waste and giving new life to glasses that would otherwise end up in landfill.
