Stall Holder Information and Stall Bookings

Please read these conditions and questions carefully before applying for a stall.

I haven't been to the Karnival before, where is it located?

At Ben Burn Park, Campbell St, Karori. Campbell Street is off the main Karori Road on your left coming in from town. You will see the signs erected by the Lions Club.

Can I just turn up on the day?

No, you must complete a stall application form and have paid in full prior to the event. We are unable to take booking on the day of the event.

What time can I start setting up?

Access to Ben Burn Park is from 7.30am on the morning of the event. Members of the Karori Lions Club will be on site to advise you where your stall us to be located on the field.

How do I apply for a stall?

Select your stall size from the buttons on the right on this page and you will be taken to an online application form and payment portal. If you have a question about the stalls or the application process, use the contact form on our website page or send us an e-mail to karorikarnival@lionsclub.org.nz and someone will be in touch.

Are there toilets on the site?

Toilets are on the upper side of the Ben Burn Park in the brick building next to the Play Centre.

Is there water available for my stall?

Water can be obtained from the toilet block. Please bring your your own container to collect the water. Drinking water can also be bought from the Lions Club of Karori BBQ stall, or other stall selling refreshments.

Is there power on the site?

There is no power on site.   You are required to bring your own power source. Please ensure your generators are in good condition, are not noisy or are not expelling toxic fumes.

I have a food stall. What regulations do I have to meet?

If you have a commercial food stall you will need a current registered Food Plan/Certificate to participate in the Karnival. Please forward a copy to karorikarnival@lionsclubs.org.nz by the end of the January before Karnival.

All food stalls, commercial or otherwise, need to follow good hygiene and food handling practices. The Karnival Administrator will send a helpful checklist to all register food stallholders prior to the event. Non-commercial stalls should fill this in and have it available on the day if asked.  

Do you supply trestle tables and weather protection?

The site cost if for the space only. It does not include trestle tables or weather protection. These items must be supplied by you.

How do refunds work?

If the Karnival is cancelled due the weather, the stall fee will be refunded less $20 to cover administration and advertising costs. All other refunds will be at the discretion of the Karnival Convenor.
